GT4 JOINS GT3 ASIA AS PART OF AFOS

SRO Motorsports Group, which created and developed the GT4 category in 2007, is delighted to announce the introduction of the GT4 Asia Cup.
This new series has been set up by Malaysian-based Motorsport promoter, Motorsport Asia.The GT4 Asia Cup now become an addition to the Asian Festival Of Speed(AFOS)'s GT3 Asia Series.

The new series is part of an agreement between the SRO Motorsports Group and Motorsport Asia that sees the extension of the rapidly expanding GT4 category to Asia, joining the GT4 European Cup and its franchise, the Dutch GT4 Championship.
The GT4 Asia Cup will run according to the SRO regulations and homologation procedures. The GT4 Asia Cup will be run over 6 Events incorporating 2 x 40 minute races per weekend, for a total of 12 races. Each race will have a mandatory pit stop and competitors have the choice of either a single driver or two-driver entry. (Single drivers will execute a timed stop for equality).
The season will begin at the Sepang International Circuit as part of the Asian Festival Of Speed Event on 15 - 16 May and will visit five of the leading Circuits in Asia including the new Formula 1 circuit in Jeongnam, Korea.
