The new Volkswagen CC has joined the ranks of the Polo GTi, Sharan, Passat, Jetta, Cross Touran, R-variant VWs and Polo sedan in Volkswagen Group Malaysia's vehicle line-up. The newest four-door sedan in coupe guise by the Wolfsburg-based Deutscher Marke is slated to be the next hit for VW M'sia. At last November's L.A. Autoshow, the CC made its global debut and henceforth, replaces the earlier prefix of Passat CC, creating a niche for itself and detaches from the Passat to an independent variant.

The CC differs only very slightly to the Passat CC featuring a more radical front fascia which is made up of the radiator grille, bi-xenon headlights and bonnet. Front LED daytime lights are a customary highlight of all VW variants, including the CC, while the radiator grille. no longer V-framed, now forms a visually continuous, charismatic band together with the headlights. From the side, the CC is almost a twin to its immediate predecessor, where the outstanding 'coupe' silhouette, obvious extended wheel arches and defined shoulder line come into play to depict a ready-to-go, sporty car. A compact rear-end highlights several updated items such as a mirage spoiler, a chrome lining on the bumper and LED combination lights. Lastly, 17” ‘Phoenix’ alloy wheels complete this scintillating variant by Volkswagen.
