Sharp Malaysia has broken its own record of manufacturing the largest LCD/LED TV in the world which has gone from 70-inch to a huge 80-inch at today's presentation of "From Bigger To Biggest" products.
The 'From Bigger To Biggest' presentation exhibited Sharp's commitment in its continued effort in producing world's leading products from flat panel televisions to home appliances. Thus far, Sharp is the one and only electronics manufacturer to produce the 80-inch flat panel; the largest in the LCD/LED TV market..
The AQUOS 80-inch model LC80LE940X in Full HD is equipped with Sharp's renowned Quattron 4-primary color technology. In addition, the huge LED TV includes 3D and AQUOS Net features for definite reality and internet browse capability.
From the economic point of view, the LCD TV market share for this year is forecasted at about 1.6 million units. With this figure, Sharp aims to capture 14.5% of the total market share, in view of the increase in demand due to the rapid advancement and upbeat market trend. Moreover, the current trend is now moving towards smart TVs and big-size panels, therefore Sharp sees an opportunity to produce more of the 60-inch and above big-size panels.

On the refrigerator market, the total demand is expected to reach 590,000 units in 2012. Based on this figures, Sharp eyes to capture 24.4% of the market share.
