BMW Malaysia presents the X6 xDrive 35i SAV

BMW's X6 Sports Activity Coupé has a new variant in the form of the  X6 xDrive35i for the Malaysian market, Since its debut in 2008, the X6 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) has sold over 155,000 units globally , and in the country, some 263 X6s are already on the road, eversince the Crossover's arrival in August '08.

The X6 xDrive35i doesn't differ all that much from the previous edition; on the front fascia, the kidney grills, hallmarks of BMW, is retained, though a 3-D chrome frame and angled lower slats lend a contemprary front end finish. Rounding the front end are; adaptive LED twin headlights with 3-D light rings and LED-powered accent lights; as well as matt-finish fog lights. The side maintains a Coupe-like silhouette and a pronounced shoulder line that connects the front and rear fenders. At the rear, the new L-shaped taillights with two LED light clusters provide a characteristically BMW night appearance.

Moving into the interior, the X6 xDrive35i continues to deliver a unique combination of premium, sporting dynamics and posh design down to the very last detail. The car’s five-seat interior further delivers high-quality surfaces which exudes quality and comfort with standard Nevada leather upholstery or the optional Vermillion Red finish interior upholstery. The progressive contemporary character of the X6 is further enhanced by a host of products from the comprehensive BMW ConnectedDrive range of driver assistance systems and mobility services including the Head-Up Display, rear-view camera with top view, navigation, as well as extended Bluetooth offerings.
 
The X6 xDrive35i takes up a 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine that is capable of generating 225kW/306hp and 400 Nm of torque. The powertrain includes an 8-speed sports automatic transmission that can be accessed via the steering's shift paddles. Working in conjunction with the car’s definitive Dynamic Performance Control, the X6 benefits from even greater precision to its electronically controlled power distribution thereby further optimizing driving stability and traction.
 
The BMW X6 xDrive35i will be in BMW dealerships nationwide from 14 July at a retail price of RM698,800 on-the-road without insurance.
