YES - Proton FB contest announces top winners

The Yes - Proton 'Win Malaysia's First 4G Internet Car' facebook contest from 23 February till 27 March reached its climax with a customary winners announcement. A certain Ng Oon-Ee took up the grand prize of a special edition Yes 4G Internet-enabled Proton Inspira, while Chew Yoong Sen and Yew Hong Tat claimed the second and third prizes which consisted a myriad of YES 4G bundles.
The FB contest gave participants a chance to win a one-of-a-kind, special edition Yes 4G Internet-enabled Proton Inspira worth RM100,000. Participants were first required to become fans of Yes4G or PROTON on their Facebook pages in order to join the contest. Each contestant had to create a personalized avatar representing a lifestyle closest to theirs and upload a headshot of themself. They were then required to complete a slogan and gather followers on their FB pages. 20 individuals with the highest points collected were short-listed for the final round and top three winners were selected by a panel of judges from YES and Proton based on the creativity of their slogans.
Oon-Ee, who was chosen as the winner of the Yes 4G Internet-enabled Inspira, excitedly said. "It makes me really happy to be the only person in Malaysia to own this car. I'm proud to be able to say that I'm driving the first Internet car!"'
A brief run-down of the Yes 4G internet-enabled car entails an Inspira that's decked in Yes liveries, 18-inch wheels and titanium black glass tinting. along with a 4G Huddle, three iPads and a built-in Sony audio system on the inside.
Second and third prize winners Yoong Sen and Hong Tat got their share of the spoils. The second prize winner nabbed an iPad 2 (Wi-Fi), a YES 4G Huddle , a YES ID Starter Pack and a Valuepack 150, while the third prize winner took home a YES 4G Huddle, a YES ID Starter Pack and a Valuepack 150.
In addition, there were 10 consolation prize winners, who each got a YES ID Starter Pack and a Valuepack 68 .
The Yes - Proton collaboration has truly redefined in-car experience of today. Whether Proton will instill such radical approaches into their passenger cars in the near future remains to be seen.
